Which year should I pick?
Any year the indicator covers. Earlier decades have shorter tables — the World Bank's country coverage grows over time — and the table states how many economies reported.
Where do the values come from?
From the exact series published on this site's country and indicator pages, which in turn come from the World Bank API. Nothing is re-estimated.
Does the CSV include every country or just the top 20?
Every country with a published value for that year, ranks included.
