Export World Bank data to Excel or CSV
Choose an indicator, add the countries you need (presets included), and download a shared year-by-year table. The CSV carries a UTF-8 BOM so Excel opens it cleanly by double-click; the .xls file keeps bold headers and true number cells.
How to use it
- Pick an indicator, then add countries one by one or via a preset (G7, BRICS, Top 10 economies, EU-5).
- Press Build table and check the preview.
- Download as CSV or Excel. Only published years are included — nothing is interpolated.
FAQ
Why does the Excel file open with a warning sometimes?
The file is SpreadsheetML, a text-based Excel format Excel itself writes; some Excel builds confirm before opening it. The CSV alternative opens without prompts.
Are the numbers rounded?
No. The table carries the exact values the World Bank API published, the same figures shown on each country page.
Can I export every country at once?
Add as many as you like — the tool fetches each series from this site and assembles the table locally.
